Tudor Black Bay 79230R State of Qatar: A Black Bay You Could Not Buy
The 79230R is the burgundy bezel Black Bay, the reference that brought Tudor's in house movement to its best known diver. This example is something else entirely: a version made for the State of Qatar, with the national emblem at 6 o'clock. It never appeared in Tudor's catalogue, and production numbers were never published, which is exactly why these rarely surface on the open market.
To be transparent about where it comes from: we bought it directly from its first and only owner. It has never been worn and comes as a complete set.
Design & Movement
41mm stainless steel case with burgundy bezel, black dial with the State of Qatar emblem at 6 o'clock, in house caliber MT5602, COSC certified, with 70 hours of power reserve. Fitted to the steel bracelet with riveted style links.
