The 5066A is the early Aquanaut at 36mm, the reference that introduced the sapphire caseback to the line and set the template for every Aquanaut that followed: embossed dial, softened octagonal case and a tropical strap instead of a bracelet.
This example paired the classic black embossed dial with an original khaki green Patek tropical strap. Green changes the watch more than you would expect: the black dial reads deeper and the whole piece takes on a more casual, outdoor character. It was confirmed by an Extract from the Archives.
