Find me one like itPatek Philippe Nautilus 3800/1A: The White Dial
The 3800 is the smaller Nautilus that followed Gerald Genta's original Jumbo in 1981. At 37.5mm it kept the porthole case, the ears and the integrated bracelet, but brought the design down to a size that suits almost every wrist, and it stayed in production for over two decades. For many collectors it is the Nautilus that wears best.
Most 3800s were made with blue or black dials. White is far less common, and it changes the watch completely: crisper, lighter and almost dressy against the brushed steel. This example was in remarkable condition, with a sharp case, a tight bracelet and a clean dial, and was accompanied by its box and an Extract from the Archives.
Design & Movement
37.5mm stainless steel case, white dial with horizontal embossed pattern and applied indexes, automatic movement with central seconds and date. Fitted to the integrated steel Nautilus bracelet.
Provenance & Condition
