Cartier Ballon Bleu de Cartier 40mm: Rose Gold and Diamonds

The Ballon Bleu arrived in 2007 and became one of Cartier's best known designs within a few years. Its name comes from the blue sapphire cabochon on the crown, which sits protected under an arch of the case like a balloon held in place. The rounded, curved case is softer than a classic round watch and wears flatter than it looks.

This example is the larger 40mm version in solid 18k rose gold, with a factory diamond set bezel and the classic silvered dial with Roman numerals. It is in new condition and comes as a full set, together with an additional Cartier leather strap with Cartier deployant buckle.
