Patek Philippe Nautilus 5712/1A

The 5712/1A takes the Nautilus case and adds a complication set not found elsewhere in the steel line: power reserve, pointer date and moon phase with small seconds, arranged in an asymmetric layout across the blue black gradient dial with its horizontal embossed pattern.

Inside is the calibre 240 PS IRM C LU, an ultra thin automatic movement wound by a 22k gold micro rotor, visible through the sapphire caseback. The micro rotor keeps the case slim despite the added complications, so the watch wears with the same flat profile as the time only Nautilus.

The steel case and integrated bracelet carry the alternating satin and polished finishing Gérald Genta's design is known for, with the porthole shaped case and its characteristic ears.

This example dates from 2021, came as a full set with box and papers, and has been sold.
