Rolex Land-Dweller 127334: The First of a New Rolex

New Rolex collections are rare. Entirely new movements are rarer still. The Land-Dweller, introduced at Watches and Wonders 2025, brought both. Its case flows directly into the Flat Jubilee bracelet, a slim five piece link design with an integrated feel that recalls the great sports watches of the 1970s, while staying unmistakably Rolex with its fluted white gold bezel and Cyclops date.

The real story is inside. The caliber 7135 is the first in house Rolex movement to run at 5 Hz, 36,000 beats per hour, and it introduces the Dynapulse escapement, a new silicon escapement that is considerably more efficient than a classic lever. Despite the higher frequency it keeps a 66 hour power reserve, and the case measures just 9.7mm thick, with the movement on view through a sapphire case back.

The intense white dial carries a honeycomb motif etched by laser, subtle from a distance and full of depth up close. At 40mm, this is the size with the most presence on the wrist, and the most sought after configuration of the collection.
